Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Credit Club (“Credit Club,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you access thecreditclub.app, our member portal, our software applications, our browser extension and assistants, our document-preparation tools, and our optional document mailing service (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for Credit Club members. It provides tools that members use to organize their own records and prepare their own documents, and an optional mailing service that dispatches member-approved packages on the member’s behalf.
1. Information We Collect
To operate the Service and, at member direction, to prepare and mail member documents, we collect information that members provide, upload, generate, or authorize us to receive. This may include:
- Account and identity data: full legal name, prior names, date of birth, current and prior addresses, phone, and email.
- Government-issued identification (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) that you upload.
- Social Security card images and Social Security numbers, when you upload them.
- Proof-of-address documents (utility bills, lease agreements, bank statements) that you upload.
- Consumer credit reports and other financial records you upload.
- Documents you generate on the platform, including complaint drafts, affidavits, and letters.
- Records related to any third-party filings you tell us you made (for example, an FTC Identity Theft Report or CFPB complaint number) that you choose to attach.
- Account details you enter (creditor names, account numbers, balances, dates, statuses, notes).
- Mailing addresses and delivery instructions you provide for the optional mailing service.
- Payment information, processed by our third-party payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
- Membership status, package selections, communications, and support history.
- Usage data, device information, IP address, cookies, log files, and security telemetry.
- Content of messages you send us, including chat, SMS, and email.
You choose what to upload. Do not upload information about third parties unless you have the legal right to do so.
2. AI, OCR, and Automated Processing
The Service uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, optical character recognition (OCR), and document-intelligence tools to help you organize records and produce drafts. These systems read documents you upload and extract structured data such as names, addresses, dates, account numbers, balances, and last four digits of Social Security numbers, and may generate draft letters, summaries, and recommendations.
3. Special Handling of Sensitive Documents
- Social Security card. By default we extract only the last four digits for use in your documents. Your full SSN card image will not be attached to a mailed package unless you separately and explicitly authorize that attachment for that package.
- Government-ID signature. We only extract a signature from a government-issued ID with your explicit authorization. The signature region is cropped first, and only the cropped image is sent to background-removal processing; the full ID image is not sent to that process. Any resulting signature may only be placed on a document you review and approve.
- Withdrawing authorization. You may withdraw a prior authorization for future documents at any time. Withdrawal does not undo documents already generated, downloaded, printed, or mailed.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service and its features.
- Authenticate members, verify identity, and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse.
- Prepare drafts and packages you request and, when you authorize it, print, package, and mail materials you have approved.
- Process payments, memberships, renewals, discounts, coupon codes, referral or affiliate attribution, sales commissions, and related billing communications.
- Communicate with you about your account, cases, packages, product updates, promotions, and support requests, including by phone, SMS, and email, directly or through our sales agents, affiliates, and marketing partners.
- Maintain access logs, audit trails, and business records required for operations, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
- Train, evaluate, and improve internal quality, security, and system performance, including limited use of de-identified or aggregated data.
- Conduct marketing, advertising, measurement, attribution, audience building, lead generation, and business development, including through advertising and analytics technologies such as pixels, tags, SDKs, and conversion APIs (for example Google, Meta, TikTok, and similar platforms).
4A. Sharing, Selling, and Sharing for Targeted Advertising
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Credit Club may disclose, transfer, license, rent, sell, or otherwise make available marketing and commercial information about you — including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, general location, membership and product interest, program status at a general level, referral or coupon source, and online identifiers, device, cookie, advertising, and usage data — to third parties for their own commercial and marketing purposes. Those third parties may include advertising and analytics platforms, marketing and media partners, affiliates, clippers and referral partners, sales agents, lead buyers, lenders and financial-services marketers, resellers, data aggregators, and successors in a merger, financing, or sale of assets. Under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, some of this activity is considered a “sale” of personal information or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we disclose it as such.
Your choices. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and withdraw marketing consent, at any time by emailing us using the contact details below with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” Opting out does not affect your membership, your purchases, or the service messages we must send to operate your account. We honor recognized browser opt-out preference signals where required.
5. Mobile / SMS Consent
If you opt in, you may receive transactional, account, membership, case-status, onboarding, support, sales, and marketing messages from Credit Club, our sales agents, and partners acting on our behalf, including by autodialer or prerecorded message. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Mobile opt-in data, including your phone number and SMS consent, are not sold or shared with third parties for their own third-party marketing.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and product analytics. You can control cookies through your browser; some parts of the Service require cookies to function.
7. Role-Based Access and Audit Logs
Access to member files is role-based. Only authenticated Credit Club personnel with a legitimate operational need can view member documents. The Service maintains audit logs of access, document generation, downloads, and mail events. These logs exist to protect members, staff, and the integrity of the Service.
8. Service Providers (Subprocessors)
We share information only with vetted service providers as needed to operate the Service — for example: cloud hosting and storage, database and authentication infrastructure, AI and OCR providers, our payment processor, email and SMS delivery providers, and print/mail vendors used to send member-approved packages. These providers are contractually limited to using information only to provide their service to us. We are not responsible for the independent acts of any third-party recipient of documents you choose to send (for example, a credit bureau, creditor, or government agency).
9. International Users
The Service is intended for use in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to processing of your information in the United States under United States law.
10. Data Retention
We retain member records, documents, and logs for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal, tax, audit, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. Deleting your account does not require us to delete records we are legally or contractually required to keep.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, role-based permissions, and activity logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the security of any device or network you use to access the Service.
12. Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our legal, tax, audit, and business recordkeeping obligations, you may request to:
- Access personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete information that is no longer needed for the Service or that we are not otherwise required to retain.
- Export a copy of information you provided.
- Withdraw a prior authorization for future processing.
We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we may decline or limit a request as permitted by law. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights. To exercise a right, contact us using the information below.
13. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 and is intended only for adult members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
